History

Butler Medical Transport was started in November 2001  The business started as a hobby, realizing that the area needed a dependable, compassionate transportation service that was customer service oriented.  Butler Medical Transport envisioned that patients need to be treated as if it was the crew’s family being transported.  In 2002, an office was opened in Pikesville, MD and serviced the Baltimore metro region, primarily Carroll and Baltimore Counties.  In 2005, a second office was opened in Laurel to service the DC metro region.  A third office was opened in 2007 in Reisterstown to allow for larger maintenance facilities, and as a base for the Mobility Division to allow for the servicing of the Carroll County Health Department’s Medical Assistance Contract.  In the fall of 2008 the York Pennsylvania office was opened after the acquisition of ACE EMS.  Currently Butler Medical operates in two states with an operation coming soon to the District of Columbia.  With over 30 vehicles that include, all types of Ambulances that include Specialty Care Ambulances which are staffed with Critical Care Nurses and Paramedics, for the acute interfacility transfer Advanced Life Support Ambulances which respond to 911 calls, Basic Life Support Ambulances, Wheelchair Vans and Mobility Vehicles, Butler Medical is the can offer a service for everyone.
