Basic Life Support Ambulance Butler Medical Transport offers basic life support ambulance services. Our staff are highly trained to at least the Emergency Medical Technician Basic level and are CPR certified. Our BLS services are typically used for the stretcher bound patient and can range anywhere from taking patients to and from appointments to discharges from the nursing home to interfacility transfers between hospitals. Our BLS service includes such items as oxygen, splinting and bandaging. Specialty items such as a stair chair to carry someone up or down stairs and a special orthopedic board for hip fracture patients are also included on each vehicle. Advanced Life Support Butler Medical Transport also offers advanced life support transport services. Our ALS providers are trained to the ACLS standard in accordance with the State EMS standards. All of our ALS units are equipped the same as the 911 units in the area. Some of our ALS services include cardiac monitoring, IV fluid monitoring, medication administration, IV medication maintenance, and airway support. Specialty Care Transportation Butler Medical Transport provides specialty care transport for critical patients requiring advanced level care during transport. Some of the services offered are ventilator transport, advanced IV medication drips, cardiac sheaths, arterial lines, central venous lines and pediatric transports. Our staff of specialty care personnel includes critical care paramedics and ICU nurses.
